Joyce McQueen

Joyce McQueen, age 69 departed this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was born on Saturday, May 15, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Wesley and Dora Thompson Mills.  She worked for the Clay County Board of Education and for Mid-South and attended the Swindling Gap Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 52 years: Wills McQueen, her son: Craig McQueen, her daughter: Cary Allen and her fiancé Mark Nantz, her world and heart, whom she adored and enjoyed watching drag race; her grandson: Jacob Hunter Allen and his wife Lexie, her great grandson: Raceton Hunter Allen and her great granddaughter that’s on her way: Maebry Allen.  Also surviving is her brother: Johnny Mills, her sister: Loretta Dinkins as well as her nephews and nieces: Randy Hacker, Pam Mathis, Jamie Mills, Luke Mathis and Chasity Combs.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Wesley and Dora Mills, her brother: Dickie Mills and her sisters: Betty Mathis and Barbara Bundy.

A Celebration of Life for Joyce McQueen will be conducted on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 2 PM at the Macedonia Cemetery.  Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding.
