John Edward "Frog" Pennington, Jr

Mr. John Edward “Frog” Pennington, Jr., age 81 of Manchester, passed away Monday, June 15th, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 25th, 1928 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of John Pennington, Sr. & Beulah Lyttle Pennington. He was a coal miner for over 22 years & a member of the Lily Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children: Carolyn Simpson & husband David of Louisville, Sean Pennington of Manchester, & Ray Pennington & wife Barb of Manchester. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his sister: Betty Sue Henson & husband Beve of Manchester, & his brother: Earl Pennington & wife Sheila of Manchester, Kentucky. Also surviving are several sisters-in-law, several brothers-in-law, several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John Pennington, Sr. & Beulah Lyttle Pennington, his daughters: Phyllis Kay Gilbert * Brenda Anderson, & his son: Rollie Pennington.

Funeral Services for Mr. John Edward “Frog” Pennington, Jr. will be Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
