John Thomas Minton

John Thomas Minton, age 85 departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1939 Manchester, Kentucky to Oakley and Dora (Hooker) Minton. He worked in the coal mines.

 He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Dana Minton Smith and William “Bopper” Minton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are these brothers and sister: Harlan Minton, Larry Minton and wife Nora Jean, Lucy Brumley and Floyd Minton.

 He is preceded in death by his parents: Oakley and Dora Minton; his children: Paula Minton and Paul Minton and these brothers and sisters: Roy Minton, Shade Minton, Elmer Minton, Herbert “Tip” Minton, Rosetta Ruth, Alpha Goins, Shirley Minton Jones and Hazel Sizemore. 

 Funeral Service for John Thomas Minton will be conducted on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Steve Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hooker Cemetery in the Blue Hole Community.

 The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, January 9, 2025 after 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
