Joan Henson Prilaman

Joan Henson Prilaman, age 66 of Manchester departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at her home.  Joan was born on Saturday, March 8, 1958 in Clay County, a daughter of the late Oakley and Virgie Downey Henson.

She is also survived by her husband , Mark Prilaman.  She is also survived by her son, Chase Prilaman of Manchester, KY; as well as her grandchild: Jayden Prilaman.  As well as the following brother, Larry Henson of New Whiteland, IN, sisters:  Carolyn Mechling of Fort Wayne, IN, Joyce Prather of Huntington, IN, Tina Gibbs and husband Carl of Manchester, KY.  These nieces and nephews:  Shawn Henson, Josh Henson, Sabrina Abney, Sharon Anderson, Cantina Mechling, Celina Pugh, Shane Richardson, Dewayne Richardson, Rebecca Hibbard, Letha Gibbs, Brenda Wagers, Carlos Gibbs, Ann Gibbs.  She also leaves behind a host of family and friends.  

She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sister:  Clayton Henson, Gary Wayne Henson and Linda Henson.

She was a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.

Joan was known as a mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.  She was a humble, loving person and a child of God.

Funeral Services for Joan Henson Prilaman will be conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 A. M. at the Horse Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Dustin Sims will be presiding.  She will be laid to rest in the Downey Cemetery in the Buzzard Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday after 7:00 P. M. at the Horse Creek Baptist Church.
