Jeweldene Holland

Jeweldene Holland, age 82 departed this life on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. She was born on Saturday, September 5, 1942 in Manchester, Kentucky to Otto and Georgia Payne Thompson. She worked for over 37 years as a cook for the Clay County Board of Education, was a devout Christian and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters: Melinda Mitchell and Sherrie Smallwood, her grandchildren: Jessalynn Bowman, Alisha Mitchell and Andrea Leigh Mitchell, her great grandchildren: Ethan Bowman and Summitt Parker Mitchell and her brothers: Bobby Thompson and Rick Thompson as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Otto and Georgia Thompson, the love of her life and father of her children: Jesse Mitchell, her husband: Hancle Holland, her son: Phillip Mitchell, her sister: Barbara Thompson and her brothers: Clifford Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Billy Thompson and Ray Thompson.

Funeral Services for Jeweldene Holland will be conducted on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Shaun Thompson will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Steve Mitchell Cemetery on the Right Hand Fork of Billys Branch.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
