Jessie Wagers

Jessie Wagers, age 93, departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Heritage in Corbin, Kentucky. He was born on Monday, February 22, 1932 in Manchester, Kentucky to Adern Wagers and Laura (Smith) Wagers. He worked for the forestry service and was of the Christian faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Dennis Ray Wagers and fiancée Kathy, Denver Wagers and wife Molly, and Joseph Jessie Wagers and wife Lisa; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive. Also surviving is the mother of Joseph: Betty Wagers; two sisters: Rhoda (Doll) Estep and Vicky Smallwood and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Adern and Laura Wagers; his wife Hazel Wagers, mother of his children: Gladys Smallwood; his children: Dillard Wagers, Delbert Wagers, Delphia Stewart, Della Mae Wilson, Douglas Wagers and these brothers and one sister: Claude Wagers, Mary Smith, Adern “Whack” Wagers, Billy Wagers and David Wagers.

Funeral Services for Jessie Wagers will be conducted on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Mays will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, April 21, 2025 after 1:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
