Gordon Lee Reed

Mr. Gordon Lee Reed, age 62 of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  He was born on Wednesday, July 4, 1956 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Paul and Ruby Good Reed.  He was self-employed as a master plumber, retired from the Wiser Oil Company and a member of the Church of God Worship Center.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife: Bonnie Hellard Reed , his daughter: Janet Reed-Osborne and her husband Roger Lee of London and his step-son: Jordan Scott Kirby and his wife Crystal of London.  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Olivia Osborne, Beckham Osborne and Grayson Scott Kirby as well as his mother: Ruby Reed and his brother: Terry Reed and his wife Tracy of London.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents: Merlin and Esther Good and Squire and Hallie Reed, his father: Paul Reed, his grandson: Keaton Lee Osborne and a very special Uncle Squire Junior Reed.

Gordon will be best remembered by his family and many friends for his kindness and love for all people.  He shared his Christian faith proudly and told others.  He had many friends everywhere and was positive with a great sense of humor, never complaining.  He loved the UK Wildcats, reading and wrestling.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Gideons International or the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

A celebration of life for Gordon Reed will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Joey Burns, Rev. Dustin Sims and Rev. Terry Reed will be presiding.  He will be laid to rest near his father at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
