Georgia Hazlewood

Georgia Hazlewood, age 79 went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the AdventHealth of Manchester.  She was born on Saturday, July 22, 1944 in Manchester to Roland and Thelma Curry Brown. She was a retired cook for the Clay County Board of Education and a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved sons: Grady R. Hazlewood and wife Melissa and Robert L. Hazlewood and wife Rita, her grandchildren: Kristy Pace and husband Brandon, Traci Wagers and husband Derek, Ella N. Smith and husband Don and Heather D. Hazlewood, her great grandchildren: Avery Jane Pace, Paislee R. Wagers, Destini R. Wagers, Kira N. Hazlewood, Braden K. Bryant and Kale F. Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Roland and Thelma Brown, her husband: Bobby Lee Hazlewood, her special friend: Johnny Horton, her sisters: Imogene Smith, Jessie Brown, Mary Hinkle and Janna Brown and her brothers: James Brown, Johnny Brownand Ken Brown.

Funeral services for Georgia Hazlewood will be conducted on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Dr. Dustin Sims will be presiding.  She will be laid to rest in the Swafford Cemetery in the Horse Creek Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
