Gail Cheek

Gail Cheek, age 62 departed this life on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek.  She was born on Friday, August 18, 1961 in Oneida to George Henry and Mae Gibson Helton.  She worked in food service at OBI.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Larry Melvin Cheek, her daughter: Rebecca Sharina Cheek and her son: Larry Shawn Cheek, her grandchildren: Kaylee Leeann Sosa, Lany Grace Combs and Evan Henry Hensley and her great granddaughter: Lillianna Noel Sosa.  She is also survived by her brothers: Carl Helton and Dallas Helton and her sisters: Mozella Martin and Geneva Couch.

She is preceded in death by her parents: George Henry and Mae Helton and her sister: Rozella Hacker.

Funeral Services for Gail Cheek will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Wade England and Rev. Phillip Proffitt will be presiding.  Burial will follow in the Cheek Cemetery in the Portersburg Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
