Frederick E Kastning, Jr.

Frederick E. “Fred” Kastning, Jr., age 56 passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 11, 2024.  He was born on Friday, December 29, 1967 in Rockford, Illinois to Frederick E. Kastning, Sr. and Diane Gorst Knaub.  He worked in carpentry and worked building bridges for over 37 years as well as a member of the Carpenters Local 792 Union.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife: Michelle Miller Kastning, his children: Anna Martin and husband Paul, Clark Aliprandini; his step-children:  Trevor Francque, Taylor Francque, Trae Francque and Trent Francque as well as his grandchildren: Gabriel Martin, Donovan Martin, Jaydn Aliprandini and Nikyah Dawson and Daniel Dawson.  Also surviving is his father: Frederick E. Kastning, Sr. and his siblings: Dianna Miller, Deb Gilroy, Jen Lochhead and Steve Knaub.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Diane Knaub, his step-father: Kenneth Knaub and his grandparents. 

Graveside Services for Frederick E. “Fred” Kastning, Jr. will be conducted on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 12 PM at the Sandlin Cemetery in the Sandlin Branch Community.  Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding.  He will be laid to rest in the Sandlin Cemetery in the Sandlin Branch Community.
