Esther (Sawyers) Smith

Esther Smith, age 85 departed this life on Friday, October 12, 2018.  She was born on Tuesday, September 26, 1933 in Manchester, Kentucky to Joe and Lula Bishop Sawyers.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Annette Baldwin, Paulette Henson, Nancy Bishop and her husband Charles Emanuel, Joe Harrison Sandlin, Bernice Smith, Shannon Sandlin, Shauna Barber and her husband Doug, Michael Sandlin and Myra Henson.  Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Wilburn Sawyers, Lois Henson and Arnold Sawyers.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Lula Sawyers, her husbands: Harrison Sandlin and Oliver Smith and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

A celebration of Esther Smith’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Carmen Brewer and Terry Spurlock will be presiding.  Interment will follow in the Smith-Sizemore Cemetery in the Bar Creek Community.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
