Mrs. Ella Pearl Mathis, age 73 departed this life on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was born on Tuesday, September 24, 1946 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Boston and Delcy Robinson Sandlin. She was a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son: Ronnie Jay Mathis and his wife Michelle. Also surviving are her granddaughters whom she loved and adored: TaLaura Jade Mathis and Kaylee Faith Mathis as well as her brother: John B. Sandlin and his wife Ann, special friends: Jewell Baker and Josephine Baker and a host of nieces and nephews other loved ones and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Boston and Delcy Sandlin, her husband: Rev. Jay Mathis, her sister: Opal McQueen and her brothers: Glenn Dewey “G.B.” Sandlin and Leonard Bradley “L.B.” Sandlin.
A Celebration of life for Mrs. Ella Pearl Mathis will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Darrell Griffin and Rev. Anthony Lovett will be presiding. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband: Rev. Jay Mathis in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, November 30 after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
