Donald Gene Lovins

Donald Gene Lovins, age 79 departed this life on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek.  He was born on Monday, December 18, 1944 in Manchester to William L. and Bertha Napier Lovins.  He was a coal miner, truck driver and musician.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Margaret Hobbs Drake, his children: Jackie Link and Earl, Pamela Jarvis and Terry, Melissa Napier and Donnie, Angelia Oberly and John, Donald Lovins and Margaret and Kim Gray, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his brother: Lonnie Lovins and Sandy, his sister: Bonnie Collins and his sister-in-law: Ann Lovins.

He is preceded in death by his parents: William L. and Bertha Lovins, his daughters: Connie Lovins and Sheila Lovins, his sisters: Pauline Hayre, Sharon Shirley and Juanita Smith, his brother: Dennis Lovins and his brother-in-law: Frank Collins.

Funeral Services for Donald Gene Lovins will be conducted on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Garrett Thomas will be presiding.  Burial will follow in the Potters Chapel Cemetery in the Sidell Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
