Dillard Davis “Dook” Lunsford

Dillard Davis “Dook” Lunsford, age 78 departed this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home.  He was born on Sunday, December 30, 1945 in Manchester to William and Anna Mae Massey Lunsford.  

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughters: Lisa Angel and Tammy Lunsford, his son: Kevin Lunsford, his grandchildren: Kelly Byrd, Taylor Mathis, Matthew Mathis, Benjamin Angel, Hannah Angel, Jacob Mathis, William Angel and Sarah Lunsford.  Also surviving are his great grandchildren: Aiden Mathis, Kaelyn Mathis, Emery Angel, Collin Mathis and Kolton Angel as well as his sisters and brothers: Norma Jean Sams, Linda Henderson, Phyllis Sears, Rita Webb, Georgia Martin, Bill Lunsford and Ronnie Lunsford.

He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Anna Mae Lunsford, his wife: Sylvia Lunsford, 2great grandchildren: Trey Angel and Savannah Mathis, his sister: Patsy Hyden and his brothers: Paul Lunsford, Estill Lunsford and Danny Lunsford.

Funeral Services for Dillard Davis “Dook” Lunsford will be conducted on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Buford Hooker will be presiding.  He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Bundy Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
