Christene Stewart

Christene Stewart, age 78 departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London.  She was born on Sunday, July 15, 1945 in Manchester to Taylor and Lucy Bowling Hollen.  She retired from the Clay County Board of Education where she worked as a lunch room manager.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Lisa Stewart, her son: Anthony Stewart and his wife Michelle and her grandchildren: Jarrett Jones, Seth Stewart and Sydney Stewart.  Also surviving are her sisters: Amelia Davidson and husband Charlie “Thumb” and JoAnn Lewis.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Taylor and Lucy Hollen and these brothers and sisters: Evelene Goormastic, Ima Jean Grimes, Mary Parks, Helen Jones, Granville Hollen and Debbie Smith.

Graveside Services for Christene Stewart will be conducted on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1 PM at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.  Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, February 29 after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
