Braxton Downey

Braxton Downey, the 13 year old son of Dexter Downey and Kimberly Grubb passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Manchester, Kentucky. He was a 7th grade student at the Clay County Middle School.

Braxton leaves to mourn his passing his parents: Dexter Downey and Kimberly Grubb, his brother: Preston Downey, his sister: Davina Downey. His grandmothers: Norma Lee Downey and Sharon Wagers, his step-grandfather: Lonnie and his grandfather: Randall Grubb. Also surviving are his aunts: Amber Grubb and Candi Peters and his uncles: Lucas Burns, Phillip Burns and Holly Saylor. His best friend and brother: Nicholas Adams, his Mom2: Stephanie Adams, as well as a host of family, friends, classmates and other loved ones.

Donations to help with the financial burden for services for Braxton can be made to the Rominger Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Braxton Downey will be conducted on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Anthony Hinkle will be presiding. He will be laid to rest in the Sandlin Cemetery in the Sandlin Branch Community.

The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
