Bernice Jones Asher

Mrs. Bernice Jones Asher, age 77 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was born December 2nd, 1931 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Colonel & Cora Stevens Jones. She was a retired school teacher for 33 years & a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Angela McQueen & her husband: Darrell of Burning Springs, 5 Grandchildren: Tonya Farmer, Tammy Asher, Danielle Asher, Heather McQueen, & Brandon Asher, & 11 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother: Bertha Stevens, her husband: Troy Asher, 2 sons: Tony Asher & Gregory Asher, & her brother: Raymond Jones.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bernice Jones Asher will be Friday, May 1st, 2009 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Asher Cemetery in the Island Creek Community.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 30th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
