Alex Jackson

Mr. Alex Jackson age 76 departed this life on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky.  He was born on Tuesday, August 18, 1942 in Red Bird, Kentucky to George and Molly Mills Jackson.  He was a farmer and a member of the New Beginnings Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Eddie Jackson of Manchester, James “P-Nut” Jackson of Manchester, Lucy Maxie and her husband Darrell of Manchester and Richard Jackson of Manchester as well as his grandchildren: Bradley Hammons, Joseph Maxie, Kaylee Maxie, 4 Great Grandchildren and his sister: Clara Sizemore.

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Molly Jackson, the mother of his children: Mary Catherine Jackson and these siblings: Florence Smith, Lawrence Jackson, Simon Jackson, Homer Jackson, Ora Jackson, Wilford Jackson, Leon Jackson, Baxter Jackson, George Jackson, Jr., Debra Jackson, Leovia Jackson, Mae Mills and Wilma Howard.

A celebration of life will be conducted on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Todd Hicks and Rev. Bobby Stevens will be presiding.  Interment will follow in the Jackson Cemetery in the Burchell Hollow Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
