Aaron Melton

Aaron “Speedy” Melton, age 90 departed this life on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek in Manchester. He was born on Tuesday, May 8, 1934 in Manchester to George Washington and Axie (Sandlin) Melton. He was owner of Manchester Sales and Service and a member of the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.

He is survived by his two sons: Dannie Melton and his wife Ernestine and Carl Melton, grandchildren: Kristy Lee Hampton and husband Stephen and Heather Ann Melton; and one great grandchild: Isla Rose Hampton. 

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Axie Melton; his wife: Elsie Inez Melton and his daughter-in-law: Rosenna Melton; brothers and sisters: Theo Melton, Lloyd Melton, Dora Cecil Merz, Susie Metcalf and Emma Betty Jones.

Funeral Services for Aaron Melton will be conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Metcalf be presiding. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery in the Sexton Creek Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday at 11:00 A. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
